By Terence Miselo

Two non-profit organizations concerned with child care and well-being have partnered with a collection of local artistes for a charity concert dubbed ‘Give Back Concert’ to be held next month at G-Greens Lilayi in Lusaka.

Carol Cares Foundation and Touch of an Angel (TOAA) have worked together for years now and have this annual show planned for June 3rd.

This is a show which climaxes the two organisations’ activities every year and seeks to raise more funds for their support programmes.

According to the statement from the partners, the Give Back Concert will come after a buildup event called ‘A Day with the Children,’ at Fountain of Hope in Lusaka on the 30th of May.

This build up event is set to be eventful and will be graced by Fountain of Hope founder Hon. Rodgers Mwewa.

Children at the centre will interact with various celebrities and will be engaged in different tasks that will see them scoop awards and scholarships.

However, the ‘Give Back Concert’ will hype the various activities the two organisations are involved in especially when it comes to working with local artistes. Among the many musicians to be present at the concert include B1, Pilato, Pentagon, T-Sean, Kris Brayan, 408 Empire and Paul G. Others are Orga Family, Dalisoul and Kay Figo.

Music will be provided DJ 800, DJ Bizzy Wizzy and QKing Kasuli with Kano as MC. On June 10, another show has been planned for Ndola.

Carol Cares and TOAA were founded by Carol Chanda and Chanda Mutale respectively.

QFM’s DJ Showstar presents  ‘We don’t Care’

 By Terence Miselo

He presented his first cypher some time back to emphasize his love for music and deep appreciation for hip hop.

This is not to say being a DJ is not enough for him to promote and follow music but it is his ability to identify good music and artistes that makes him part of it. For this reason, QFM radio and TV presenter DJ Showstar is back on the music scene with ‘We don’t Care’ a new single bringing together four versatile artistes on one beat.

This includes Yellow Man on vocals, T-Sean on everything, Camstar on rap as well as the free-flowing Alpha Romeo. ‘We don’t Care,’ is set to motivate you and help you find confidence within yourself without relying on others. It is Showstar’s effort to promote interaction and counsel through hip hop. The song was released early this month and has continued to make inroads on most local music charts.
