I INFORMED President Edgar Lungu of my whereabouts and I got permission from the Chief Whip Richard Musukwa, therefore, it is unfortunate for individuals to fabricate lies that I boycotted the President’s parliamentary address on Friday, Roan Patriotic Front (PF) member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili has clarified.

And Mr. Kambwili has urged the United Party for National Development (UPND) members of Parliament to accept the fact that President Lungu was duly elected.

“I urge my colleagues in the UPND to accept this fact and move with time, our country faces a number of difficulties which require collective efforts from all of us,” Mr. Kambwili said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kambwili said he was shocked about insinuation that he had boycotted the parliamentary and constitutional address by the Head of State.

Mr. Kambwili has explained that he is on leave and has an illness in the family.

“I have been in the United Kingdom since Monday.

“It is absurd for people to create such malice especially at a difficulty time like this for me and my family,” Mr. Kambwili said.

He said President Lungu was duly elected President of Zambia.
