ZAM PLAYS PIVOTAL ROLE IN ECONOMIC GROWTH –TRADE KINGS

THE Zambia Association of Manufacturers is pivotal to key stakeholder engagement to promote the benefits of manufacturing growth for the broader economy, Trade Kings Group General manager Lux Subramanium has said.
Speaking during this years ten day manufacturers week, Mr Subramanium said that as the new dawn government sets the pace and tone for economic recovery, the company remains committed to contributing to the growth of the manufacturing sector as a key driver of achieving economic transformation.
Mr Subramanium said that this year’s occasion seeks to showcase strides made in Zambia’s manufacturing sector and bring together different stakeholders to discuss challenges and opportunities in the sector.
The General Manager explained that Trade Kings has grown into the region export market with focus to contribute to the foreign exchange earnings for the economy.
He pointed out that the support to the 10 manufacturers week is Trade Kings demonstration of commitment not only to the vision of the business but also to the industry.
Mr Subramanium reiterated that despite the inevitable impact of Covid-19 on the industry which will be felt for a while, there is the potential for growth and importantly, the development of recognition of the importance of domestic markets that is enable the sector to strengthen in the future.
Trade Kings is the main sponsor for this year’s Manufacturing Week whose theme is Accelerating economic transformation through value addition.
During the event Zambia Association of Manufacturers donated assorted food stuff to University Teaching Hospital mother’s shelter.
