Extend one-week school break by another week, NAQEZ appeals to gov’t

SOME stakeholders have urged Government to extend the one-week holiday to two weeks to enable children enough rest and for parents to adequately prepare requisites especially for the leaners in boarding schools.
Schools are closing today for one week as time was lost during the cholera outbreak.
National Action for Quality Education in Zambia (NAQEZ) and the Citizens First Party say the one-week break is not enough for learners and teachers to rest and for parents and guardians to prepare financially.
