UPND pro-poor, people-centred

FRANK Bwalya, the media director general of the UPND has said the governing party is a pro-poor political organisation contrary to beliefs and assertions that it is capitalist and for the rich.
But the Socialist Party (SP) laughed off Mr Bwalya’s statement and described UPND as a capitalist party with interests of the bourgeoisie.
Mr Bwalya stated in a write up yesterday that the character and ideology of UPND was guided by a people-centered and pro-poor development strategy that guaranteed the availability of basic needs of all Zambians.
