Zambians rise to defend Fr Mukosa
THE Zambia Police has been forced to abort its intention to arrest a Catholic priest, Fr Chewe Mukosa for hate speech whom it had summoned for questioning tomorrow after a heavy backlash, sparking anger and castigation of the UPND government from an array of citizens including Zambia’s Sixth President Edgar Lungu, Laura Miti, the civil rights activist and Sean Tembo among many others.
Police on the Copperbelt had summoned Fr Mukosa over his Easter message from which he reminded the UPND administration of the hardships Zambians are going through under the UPND government resulting in citizens failing to meet their daily needs. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
