Zumani, co-accused demand over K200m compensation

DR. CHRIS Zumani Zimba and his co-accused Portipher Gwai in the trumped-up gassing case for which he had been incarcerated for eight months only to be acquitted has demanded for over K200 million compensation.

In the writ of summons filed before the Lusaka High Court, Dr. Zimba and his co-accused has sued the Attorney General Mulilo Kabesha as the first defendant, National Prosecution Authority as second defendant, Gilbert Phiri in his capacity as Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) as third defendant and Catherine Lwimba as fourth defendant.
