HAALUBONO NAMES FINAL COSAFA WOMEN’S U-20 SQUAD

CHARLES Haalubono, the U-20 women’s national team coach has confirmed his final 20-player squad for the 2024 COSAFA U-20 Women’s Championship in Johannesburg, South Africa, from November 19-24.
The team will kick off their campaign against Lesotho tomorrow, at 12 hours at the University of Johannesburg.
Zambia’s final COSAFA U-20 women’s squad:-
Goalkeepers – Mwila Chishala Mufunte (Police Doves Queens) and Chitete Munsaka (Elite Ladies).
Defenders – Margaret Gondwe (Luyando Foundation Girls), Jessy Zulu (Green Buffaloes), Saliya Mwanza (Elite Ladies), Theresa Musatila (Zesco Ndola Girls) and Eunice Bwalya (YASA Queens).
Midfielders – Lubasi Pumulo (Green Buffaloes), Bupe Banda (Red Arrows), Mary Mukupa (Red Arrows), Zangose Blessings Zulu (Pataaki) and Blessing Maluba (Marvellous).
Forwards – Mary Mbewe (Zesco Ndola Girls), Elizabeth Mwale (ZISD Women), Lydia Shamalima (ZISD Women), Bwalya Namute Chileshe (Green Buffaloes), Ruth Muwowo (Amazing Grace), Gift Chilwizhi (Kamfinsa Blue Eagles), Jaqueline Nambeye (AMEZAM) and Edith Phiri (Indeni Roses).
