Prof Chilengi appointed to African Academy of Health Sciences Board

Prof Roma Chilengi, who is President Hichilema’s special advisor on health and Upile Emmanuella Kachepa from Malawi have been appointed to the Board of Directors of the African Academy of Health Sciences, headquartered in Dakhla, Morocco.
The academy, which brings together leading experts from across the continent, is dedicated to fostering collaboration in health research and innovation to address Africa’s shared health challenges.
Speaking on her appointment, Ms. Kachepa, a respected One Health specialist, expressed her gratitude, saying, “It’s a great honour to be appointed to the board. As a One Health specialist, I look forward to advocating for the implementation of a One Health approach as a solution to many of Africa’s shared health problems.”
Prof Chilengi also highlighted the importance of partnerships in addressing Africa’s health challenges, stating, “Collaboration is key to finding solutions tailored to our unique challenges. Together, we can chart a healthier future for Africa.”
