Sky Girls zed launches Tikula season 3

SKY Girls Zed is set to premiere the third season of its hit teen drama Tikula on November 15th, 2024, on ZNBC TV 2.
The highly anticipated season will continue to explore the coming-of-age experiences of Zambian teens, blending drama, dance, and themes of self-discovery and empowerment.
Alongside its TV broadcast, new episodes will also be available on the SKY Girls Zed YouTube channel every Thursday at 18:00, offering fans multiple ways to engage with the series.
The third season of Tikula follows the success of the first two seasons, which resonated deeply with Zambia’s youth, particularly teen girls.
Created by Media 365 as part of its SKY Girls initiative, the series aims to provide an authentic portrayal of the challenges, friendships, and aspirations of young people in Zambia.
Ms Catherine Phiri, Executive Producer at Media 365, stated that: “At its core, Tikula is about finding your voice and embracing your path. It’s a coming-of-age story for teen girls, but one that speaks to audiences everywhere.”
New to Season 3 is a fresh cast, selected from over 500 applicants through an open call audition process.
Director Ms Muchemwa Sinkala emphasizes the show’s commitment to reflecting the diverse experiences of teen girls.

“We wanted to tell stories that are not only relatable but also empower these girls to know that they are seen and heard,” she said.

Tikula will also feature an exclusive, invite-only premiere event on November 9th at Ster-Kinekor, MandaHill Mall, Lusaka. The new season will be broadcast every Friday at 16:05 on ZNBC, offering fans a prime-time opportunity to catch the latest episodes.
