ACE pharmaceuticals abandoned

THE offices of Ace Pharmaceuticals Limited, the company at the center of a controversial US$13.5 million scandalous deal to supply 156 ambulances, have been abandoned and closed in Lusaka’s Garden Compound.

The company, which was contracted by the Zambian government through the Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA), was expected to deliver 156 ambulances according to the contractual obligations but has so far only delivered 11 in 20 months of the contractual period.

However, investigations by Daily Nation revealed that Ace Pharmaceuticals, domiciled in Garden Township has only supplied 11 ambulances since 2023, raising serious questions about its ability to fulfill the rest of the contract.
