Be non-partisan, UPND tells Bible Institute in Zambia

SPECIAL Duties Coordinator for Copperbelt Province, Oscar Musenje has urged the Crusade Africa International Bible Institute in Zambia to support the UPND Government and remain non-partisan so that it can easily access its material needed.
Mr Musenje, also Special Duty Spokesperson for the province said is cardinal in helping the institute to achieve its mission in Zambia.
He said the UPND Government was ready to work with the institute in promoting unity, humility and shepherding to encompass economic empowering.
He was speaking in Kitwe at Minda Hall in Mindolo township at the launch and inauguration of Senior Bishop, Ecksaviour Tembio.
Mr Musenje said the church must collaborate with the Government of the day to spread the message of income generation and other community social transformation.
“Let the Government and the Church in general and particularly your branch of SCIM Netherlands which is launched today in Zambia join efforts to combat poverty, diseases, corruption and moral decline. The UPND Government have made it clear on legalising perverted activities like homosexuality because these are sicknesses which needs healing.
“To achieve your objective of the Crusade Africa International Bible Institute in Zambia, I wish to edge you to support the UPND Government and remain non-Partisan. Through this cooperation your material needs would be easily accessed from Government to achieve your missions here in Zambia. That I can assure you,” Mr Musenje said.
He said the Church offers spiritual hope of the people while the Government itself mainly look after the material needs of its citizens.
He stressed that the UPND Government was committed to providing the conducive environment in terms of dialogue, guidance, prayer and service delivery.
“Fellow Christians, in 21st century, we must be ready for social transformation as the Government partners with the church to meet the Economic, Social and Political challenges. The church must collaborate with the Government of the day to spread the message of income generation and other community social transformation.
“Fellow Christians, this Government is ready to work with you in promoting unity, humility and shepherding to encompass Economic Empowering. Let the Government and the Church in general and particularly your branch of SCIM Netherlands which is launched today in Zambia join efforts to combat poverty, diseases, corruption and moral decline,” he said.
Speaking earlier, Bishop Ecksaviour Tembio said he was grateful to the government and pledged that his church will embark on various projects which aim at supplementing government efforts in health and education.
Bishop Tembo said he was grateful that the government has created a conducive environment for the church to work together to improve people’s welfare in various sectors.
“Apart from preaching the Gospel, we will also engage in projects that aim to supplement government’s efforts in health and education because the church and government are partners in development,” Bishop Tembo said.
