Diesel shortage caused high demand by gensets – ERB

THE Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has attributed the ongoing diesel shortage in the country to the increased demand for the commodity by generator set (genset) owners.
Speaking during a media briefing yesterday, ERB Director General Eng Elijah Sichone explained that the rise in demand for diesel had been driven by widespread power outages that prompted many households and businesses to rely on backup generators.
