Lusaka resident jailed for obstructing council officer

THE Lusaka City Council (LCC) has secured a conviction and sentenced a Lusaka resident to three months imprisonment with hard labour for obstructing a council cashier in Longacres.
Davison Banda, 27, appeared before the Fast Track Court at the Civic Centre on November 28, 2024 where he pleaded guilty to the offence of obstructing an officer on duty.
He was then fined K6, 000 and in default of payment, he received three months imprisonment with hard labour.
