PF has been a victim of miscarriage of justice – Musoma

WRIGHT Musoma has expressed concern over the prolonged and protracted court cases involving the Patriotic Front (PF) presidency, describing the delay as worrying and a miscarriage of justice for the biggest opposition political party.
Mr. Musoma, the leader of the Zambia Repaublican Party (ZRP) says that the unresolved leadership dispute in Zambia’s largest opposition party has persisted for over a year, raising concerns about its potential impact on the nation’s democracy.
Mr Musoma stated that Zambia, as a democratic nation, required a functional opposition to provide checks and balances on the government.
He said warned that the government might be leveraging the judiciary to distract the PF with prolonged legal battles, a practice he said was undermining the country’s democratic principles.
Mr Musoma cited the example of the case involving former President Edgar Lungu’s eligibility to contest elections which was expedited and resolved within months due to the government’s vested interest.
