Women less represented in elective political positions – study

A STUDY has revealed that women, although making up half of the population only hold 27 percent of parliamentary seats and six percent in councils.
Janet Mundando, working under the Southern African Institute for Policy and Research (SAIPAR) detailed challenges hampering the participation of women in politics in Zambia, resulting in their underrepresentation.
