World Bank grant to SMEs a booster – Siulapwa

DAIMONE Siulapwa, the chairman for SMES Association of Zambia says the US$29 million grant by the World Bank to the country’s Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is a timely and commendable development.
Mr Siulapwa says the funding represented a significant opportunity to address the challenges faced by SMEs and cooperatives, which form the backbone of the economy but had struggled in recent years due to the effects of a fragmented and underperforming economy.
