Global Fund scandal explodes

THE Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) has reportedly swooped into the Ministry of Health and its parastatal, the Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) and has allegedly arrested several officials connected to the Global Fund corruption scandals.
Reports are to the effect that the DEC has taken swift action and arrested several individuals connected to the Global Fund scandal, which led to the dismissal of Dr. Christopher Simoonga, former Permanent Secretary for Administration at the Ministry of Health.
