Kashala cries foul over date for FAZ polls

FORMER Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) general secretary Adrian Kashala has accused the association’s executive of violating its own constitution by scheduling elections for March 29.

Last month, FAZ announced its electoral roadmap, with provincial elections set for March 15 and national elections scheduled for March 29.

However, Kashala, who is also a presidential candidate, argues that holding elections on that date contravenes Article 33 of the FAZ constitution.

He explained that the constitution stipulates that elections must be held exactly four years from the date of the previous elections.
