Mines begin to enforce unlawful working conditions – Mwenda

KASONDE Mwenda has accused government of allegedly colluding with foreign mining firms to enforce unlawful working conditions for miners in Zambia.
Mr Mwenda, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) president is alleging that government has violated local labor laws by allowing foreign owned mines to impose mandatory 12 hour shifts without overtime pay, despite previous campaign promises to improve miners’ welfare.
