Musokotwane blasts ‘ignorant’ stakeholders

FINANCE and National Planning Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane has criticised stakeholders, accusing them to be lacking knowledge about taxes in Zambia, claiming that Government has never granted tax holidays to the the mining sector.
Dr Musokotwane has also challenged stakeholders to resist the temptation of misleading the public that Government is only focusing on increasing taxes without cutting any, while describing “tax holidays or favourable taxes for foreigners,” as “another big fallacy.”
