Zambia needs to treat 250,000 TB patients

CITAMPLUS has called for concerted efforts for Zambia to attain the target of curing 250,000 tuberculosis patients.

Programmes Manager, Isaac Phiri, said currently the measures which have been put in place cannot help to treat the said number of people.

Mr Phiri recalled that in 2023, Heads of State and governments agreed at the United Nations general assembly that about 45 million people globally need to be treated of TB.
