Fix economy, not banknotes, Kalaba tells HH

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema should concentrate on fixing the economy and not the country’s currency by changing banknotes, whose resultant effect would be heightened inflationary rates, Harry Kalaba has said.
Mr Kalaba, the Citizens First (CF) leader has criticised the decision by the Bank of Zambia (BoZ) to introduce new currency notes, stating that the focus should instead be on fixing the country’s economy as he had promised during his time in opposition.
