I played no role in purchasing Turkey property – Yamba

FORMER Secretary to the Treasury, Fredson Yamba has told the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court that he did not play any role in the procurement of properties in Turkey, stating that his function was limited to the disbursement of funds as per the approved budget.
Yamba, who served as Secretary to the Treasury from 2011 to 2021, is facing two charges of willful failure to comply with the law in relation to the transfer of funds to the Zambian Mission in Turkey.
