Uproar in Parley as Chabinga claims opposition leader legitimacy

THERE was an uproar in Parliament yesterday when Robert Chabinga, the suspended Mafinga Member of Parliament declared his total support for the UPND and claimed that the Patriotic Front (PF) was not in any alliance with any political party.

Mr Chabinga, who declared himself as the legitimate leader of the opposition in Parliament claimed that the PF was not in any alliance such as the Tonse and therefore, the victory of the Petauke Central seat could only be attributed to the New Congress Party (NCP).
