SINO-Metals Leach Limited, the mining company that caused acid pollution to the environment in Kitwe and Kalulushi has apologized to both the communities affected by the pollution and government and has committed itself to compensating tall those who have been affected.

And Copperbelt Minister Elisha Matambo has urged affected communities to be honest and truthful in claiming compensation from the mining company, warning that attempts to defraud the company through false claims of compensation risk landing themselves in problems.
