OCiDA disappoints UPND

THE ruling UPND in Lusaka says it is disappointed that Our Civic Duty Association (OCiDA) could stoop so low as to dent the country’s image on vague allegations to ask the US government impose financial sanctions, visa restrictions and travel bans against President Hakainde Hichilema and six of his high-ranking government leaders.

Zambians will do to upnd what they did to PF in 2021

SHOULD the UPND administration fail to change for the better and begin governing the country according to the rule of law, respect for human rights, uphold the sanctity of Zambia’s multiparty democratic tenets and stop the abuse of State institutions, Zambians reserve the right to do to the UPND in 2026 what they did to the Patriotic Front (PF) in 2021, the Our Civic Duty Association (OCiDA) has said.

Take up PF, Sampa case, CJ urged

CHIEF Justice Mumba Malila SC has been petitioned to invoke his constitutional powers as an ex-officio Judge of the High Court as provided in Article 133 of the Constitution and consider presiding on the case in which seven Patriotic Front (PF) presidential candidates have sued expelled Matero Member of Parliament Miles Sampa challenging his October 24,  2023 illegal convention at which he installed himself as president of the former ruling party.
